“Sailing In The Wake of Wallace 2020
We have just returned from this trip…wow!”
We lead an expedition from Sorong, West Papua through Raja Ampat to Ternate in search of some of the amazing animals that Alfred Russel Wallace may have found on his travels throughout the islands. We saw the Red Bird of Paradise and Wallace’s Standard Wing Bird of Paradise. This was a unique opportunity to see some of the rarest creatures on the planet close up.
“Butterflies, Bats and Dragons 2020”
Join us on a unique cruises in Indonesia this year on an original sailing ship in
“From Bali to Komodo”
August 5th -August 15th
In 2019 we led an entomological / arachnological orientated trip with excursions on to a number of islands including the most beautiful and remote island of Komodo where we met “Dragons” in their natural habitat.
We visited a number of remote islands and trekked into rain forests in search of butterflies, beetles and bugs. Not forgetting of course the odd spider we came across. We snorkelled in crystal clear waters and got up close and personal with some of the most amazing marine life on the planet. We snorkelled with turtles and got up close with Manta Rays
This was a rare opportunity to get right into the heart of one of the most beautiful National Parks in Indonesia.
The ship visited a number of remote places and dropped anchor allowing us to swim, snorkel and spend time on some of the most untouched virgin islands in the area.
